True Or False??? Are Piff-Puffin’ Rih-Rih And Chris Breezy Finally Back Making “Beautiful Music” Together???
Looks like Rih-Rih might want Chris on her “Cake”…
Bossip has been out and about in the streets of L.A. covering parties
and events for the Grammy’s and one of the interesting items
circulating the rumor mill is the musical reunion of former
flames-turned-foes-turned-flirt buddies Chris Brown and Rihanna. Music
insiders say Rihanna and Chris have definitely been hanging out and
rebuilding their chemistry in private away from the prying eyes of the
paparazzi, and Rihanna has even asked the “Yeah 3x” singer to accompany
her on the remix to her fan favorite song “Cake”!
If this is true this song will definitely be a landmark moment in the long and gradual resurrection of Breezy’s career.
How ironic is it that the same thing that made people hate him, might
just be the thing that make ultimately make them love him again?
Update: Whitney Houston Possibly Drowned In Bathtub, Body Found Underwater
We were all devastated by the death of legendary singer, Whitney Houston,
yesterday and the cause of death is still unknown. What is known,
however, is that there was no alcohol or illegal drugs present at the
time of death.
No illegal drugs have been found in the hotel room where
Whitney Houston died — at least not yet — but prescription drugs were
present, and it’s possible the singer drowned in the bathtub … TMZ has
learned. Sources tell us … when EMTs arrived Whitney’s body was
already removed from the bathtub so it will take an autopsy to determine
if she OD’d, drowned or died from some other cause.
Informed sources tell us … Beverly Hills cops — who were still
searching the room at the time this story was posted — found various
pill bottles. There was no evidence that Whitney was drinking alcohol in
the room.
Whitney’s body was just removed from the room on a gurney. It will go to the morgue for an autopsy to determine cause of death.
R.I.P.
Update: Whitney’s body was found “underwater”:
Whitney Houston was found in the bathtub of a Beverly Hills hotel yesterday … with her face underwater … people close to Whitney tell TMZ.
According to our sources, her stylist, hairdresser and two bodyguards
were among the people in the room at the time. We’re told they became
worried about Whitney because she had been in the bathroom for over an
hour and it was time to start getting ready for the Clive Davis party.
Our sources say they began to knock on the door and there was no
answer. We’re told the hairdresser, who is female, went in to check on
Whitney. She immediately screamed and, according to our sources, one of
the bodyguards came running in and pulled her out of the tub.
We’re told Whitney’s face was below the water and her legs were up …
like she had slid down the back of the tub. According to our sources,
her body was very cold and the bodyguard attempted CPR. That’s when
hotel security was called. Paramedics arrived shortly thereafter, but
Whitney was pronounced dead at 3:55 PM.
Hip-Hop Rumors: Blue Ivy Carter Makes Her Debut!
Jay-Z and Beyonce have gone a different route and instead of selling
photos of Blue Ivy Carter to the highest bidder, they have released
intimate photos of themselves and B.I.C. on a tumblr page. The baby is
absolutely adorable and Jay-Z and Beyonce are beaming with happiness in
the pictures, which seem to have been taken at the hospital shortly
after B.I.C’s birth. Check out the photos below and the special note
from “The Carter Family”.
Blue Ivy Carter is just gorgeous! To me, she looks like alot like
her mother Beyonce, and her Grandmother, Tina Knowles. Look at all that
hair on that baby’s head and her little hands. Just precious! If these
photos are the real deal, the Carters get mad respect from me for not
cashing in on the pictures and sharing them with their fans for free.

Are Jada and Will Smith Splitting Up the Kids?
Star Magazine scored an exclusive interview with several of
Jada Pinkett-Smith’s family members who are spilling the beans regarding
the super-star couple’s alleged upcoming divorce. The magazine is
claiming that Will and Jada have split up the kids and are living on
opposite sides of the country and according to the source, ‘the kids are
devastated.”
Will and their son Jaden, 13, are living in Philadelphia, where they will be filming After Earth,
while Jada and Willow, 11, are living in L.A. before Willow starts
touring in May. ”The kids are really suffering,” a source says. The family has been torn apart for a while now.
“They haven’t spent any time as a whole family in months,”
explains the source. “And it’s not going to happen anytime soon — if
ever again.”
The magazine goes on to say that Willow and Jaden are aware of what’s going on with their parents.
“The kids hear everything that Will and Jada say about each
other,” an insider shares. “They’ve shed tears over it. It’s a hard time
for them.”
“I’m sure [their parents] take it into consideration, the
psychological impact on the kids and what they could do to make it
minimal,” Jada’s former stepdad Warren Brown tells Star. “[But] it would surprise me if they stayed together.”
“It’s always a shame when divorce splits up families,” Estelle Pinkett, Jada’s great-aunt, agrees.
Wow, Jada’s great Auntie and Stepdad came out of the wood-works and
sold Jada and Will out! If this is true, it seems as if Will and Jada
are closer to getting a divorce than ever before. I hope they keep
their kids together, though, it would be a shame to separate the
siblings.
Rappers React to Soul Train Founder and Host Don Cornelius’ Passing
byJake Crates and Grouchy Greg
A number of rappers are
reacting to the death of Soul Train founder/host Don Cornelius, who was
found dead today (February 1) after committing suicide.
While details are still being confirmed, early reports said that
Cornelius shot himself in the head in his Sherman Oaks, California home.
“We are overwhelmed with the news regarding the passing of Don
Cornelius. Our deepest sympathy and thoughts are with his family at this
time,” said Kenard Gibbs, CEO of Soul Train Holdings. “He was a true
television visionary and his contributions to African American culture,
music, and entertainment are incomparable. The outpouring of affection
and tributes to his legacy are a true testament to the profound impact
that his life’s work had on many generations.”
Don Cornelius is largely credited as being a pioneer in the development of urban culture through music on television.
“Every Saturday morning I looked forward to watching Soul Train, as
did millions of other people,” said Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Soul Train
Holdings Chairman. “Soul Train taught the world how to dance! Don’s
contribution to us all is immeasurable. He will truly be missed. I thank
him for trusting me with his Soul Train brand and I will carry on his
legacy through it. My condolences to his son and my good friend Tony
Cornelius and the entire Cornelius family.”
If the messages on Twitter are indicators, Don Cornelius will be
greatly missed by the Hip-Hop community, despite his well known views on
the genre.
“JUST WOKE UP TO SOME SAD NEWS, R.I.P. Don Cornelius founder of SOUL TRAIN,” Wyclef Jean said via Twitter.
“Rest in Peace, Love & Soul…Don Cornelius,” Ice Cube said in remembrance of Cornelius.
Don Cornelius had plans to make a movie about the Soul Train legacy
in the coming years, but nothing had come to fruition as of late.
“We’ve been in discussions with several people about getting a movie
off the ground. It wouldn’t be the ‘Soul Train’ dance show, it would be
more of a biographical look at the project,” Don Cornelius told the L.A. Times in a 2010 interview.
“So sad about Don Cornelius,” Russell Simmons Tweeted.
“May u rest in peace and thank u 4 ur platform. U will always be
remembered R.I.P. Don Cornelius,” Q-Tip expressed through his Twitter
page.
“RIP Don Cornelius…Thank You for all you have done for us…” DJ Jazzy Jeff told fans.
Don Cornelius had just been in the spotlight, when he was featured on
a popular episode of TVOne’s “Unsung” featuring Full Force.
The group was supposed to present Don Cornelius with a plaque for his unwavering support throughout the years.
“He couldn’t make it because of root canal he had earlier. I spoke to
him early last week too, for 40 minutes,” Bow Legged Lou told
AllHipHop.com.
“Don Cornelius and his creation of ‘Soul Train’ and its legacy had a
great impact on American culture. Don’s vision allowed for
African-American artists to be exposed to people all over the world
through the power of television,” said Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, who
wrote the #1 theme song for Soul Train.
“We were glad to help Don Cornelius fulfill his dream and legacy by
creating the theme song for his hit show. The ‘Soul Train’ and TSOP
brands will forever be inseparable. We thank Don Cornelius for his
tremendous contributions to the entertainment world.
“Our deepest sympathy goes out to Don’s family and everyone he touched.”
More news as funeral details are announced.
Check out Full Force’s plaque to Don Cornelius, as well as some ads congratulating the legend on his show over the years.

Exclusive: Handwritten, $9 Million Lawsuit Filed Against Em Over Chrysler Ad
Stephen Lee Pieck, of Ossining in Westchester New York, filed the
lawsuit on January 12, in the United States District Court, Southern
District of New York.
Pieck, who listed his address as “homeless” in the lawsuit, claims
that he was in a Legal Seafood restaurant in White Plains New York, on
September 9, 2010.
The lawsuit claims he was in the restaurant with Jordon Bratman and Christina Aguilera, when the pop singer called Eminem.
The lawsuit claims that Christina Aguilera handed Pieck the phone and
that he then gave Eminem the idea for the “Born of Fire” commercial.
“I want the court to reward me a judgment in the amount of $9
million,” Pieck’s handwritten lawsuit states. “I designed every aspect
of the commercial and the commercial was stolen from me. In addition, I
did not receive compensation in monetary terms for the work I did.”
Two numbers were listed for Pieck in the lawsuit.
One number went to his mother’s house and the other went to a cell phone.
When contacted, his mother refused to provide any details about the lawsuit.
A another woman answered the cell phone and when asked for more details, she hung up.
The “Born of Fire,” commercial debuted during the 2011 Super Bowl and promoted the new 2011 Chrysler 200 Sedan.
The award-winning, two-minute commercial featured Eminem and his song “Lose Yourself.”
Songwriter Sues Over B.o.B’s Hit Single “Airplanes”
byGrandmaster Grouchy Greg
A songwriter has filed a lawsuit against a production duo who claimed
sole responsibility for producing B.o.B.’s hit single “Airplanes.”
Christine Dominguez filed a lawsuit against Jeremy Dussolliet
(Kinetics) and Tim Sommers (One Love), who produce under the name
Kinetics & One Love.
The lawsuit, which was filed January 23 in United States District
Court of New York, claims that Dominguez co-wrote the smash single, but
received no credit and was cut out of all royalties.
According to the lawsuit, in September of 2008, Kinetics & One
Love asked Dominguez to create a melody and other musical contributions
for two unfinished recordings called “Airplanes.”
Dominguez claims that Kinetics & One Love e-mailed her an
unfinished version of the track and she recorded her contributions to
the sound recordings.
The lawsuit claims that Dominguez created the melody and the chorus
for “Airplanes,” including background vocals, countermelodies and other
contributions.
“In a transparent effort to keep all the credit and earnings for
themselves despite Dominguez’ substantial contribution to the joint
work, defendants omitted her from the listing as the author of
“Airplanes” on the 2010 release and elsewhere. Nor have defendants
accounted to Dominguez for revenues derived, either from the 2010
release, or any other source.”
Dominguez claims that the pair thanked her and gave her credit for her contribution to the song on an obscure, 2009 CD Kinetics & One Love: Fading Back to Normal, which contained an alternate version of the song.
In 2010, the producers authorized the release of two versions of “Airplanes,” which was on B.o.B.’s hit album B.o.B. Presents The Adventures of Bobby Ray.
A remixed version of the track also featured superstar rapper Eminem.
The lawsuit claims that the Dominguez and Kinetics & One Love
could not reach an agreement regarding her appropriate share of the
revenues, as joint authors of the song.
Dominguez is suing for unfair competition, unjust enrichment,
copyright infringement, and failure to account for revenues derived from
sampling or other use of the song.
Dominguez is seeking revenues derived from CDs, digital sales,
ringtones, ringbacks and other sources of potential income from
“Airplanes.”
B.o.B. is not named in the lawsuit, just the producers.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Maino Still in Love with Lil’ Kim???!!
bySydney Lace
NYC rapper Maino has had the city buzzing over a new track that was
released yesterday that seems to be about Lil’Kim. For those who don’t
know, Maino and Kim used to be an item back in the day, before he blew
up.
The track is called “I Still Love You,” and although he doesn’t use
Kim’s name, he drops enough clues in the first verse for you to guess
the “queen’s” identity. Check out some of the lyrics below:
“Everybody knew I took n*ggas to war for you/All the times you said
the industry fake don’t let it fool me/The jewels that you dropped on
the game you used to school me…”
“I rolled with you straight to the jail, that’s how I do/Kites to the
joint expressing how much I love you/Still a queen even in greens…”
“Things change/You came home and we moving different/Emotions now
getting involved/We in our feelings/Fighting and we arguing, sh*t we
never used to do/We don’t even speak no more/You was claiming I was
using you…”
“I still love you though.”
Awww, how sweet! I love me some thug sensitivity! Take a listen to the track below:
Nas’ Baby Mother Going After Jay-Z??!!!
Carmen Bryant, the woman who notoriously started the Jay-Z and Nas
beef back in 2001, is back and talking reckless on Twitter. If you all
remember, Carmen is the mother of Nas’ daughter, Destiny, and legend
says that she was creeping around with Jay-Z behind Nas’ back. Nas found
out, and he unleashed one of the best diss records ever, “Ether”! Jay-Z
came back with “Super Ugly,” which had so many low blows in it, he
publicly apologized for it.
Anyway, Carmen has gotten herself a little Twitter account, and she’s
talking all kinds of craziness on there. Check out a few of her tweet
below:
“Awe Camel wrote a letter to his daughter…..Why didn’t he write one to his SON?”
Carmen even goes in on Alicia Keys, calling her a “homewrecker”. Nas
come get your baby mama…it looks like she’s not done embarrassing you
yet!
RIHANNA IS THE BEST SELLING DIGITAL ARTIST OF ALL TIME?!
Rihanna is starting off 2012 on the right foot. She got rid of a damaged house and scored $5 million for it and she’s already looking to release the third single off her sixth album, ‘Talk That Talk,’ by asking the fans to choose their favorite track. With those goodies squared away, now she can revel in her latest accomplishment, as she was named the best-selling digital artist of all time by Nielsen SoundScan.
The 23-year-old pop icon has totaled more than 47.5 million in sales, which was released in a report that tracked numbers throughout Jan. 1, 2012. RiRi’s sales totals were based on digital track sales from July 4, 2004 through Jan. 1 of this year.
While the ‘We Found Love’ songstress came in at the No. 1 spot, there were hip-hop and R&B acts that came in close behind her. The Black Eyed Peas landed at the second tier with $42 million and Eminem scored No. 3 with $42 million.
In the top 10 slot, Lil Wayne settled in at No. 7, earning $36.7 million, Beyonce warranted a No. 8 placement with $30 million and Kanye West hit ninth place with $30 million digital sales sold.
50 Cent Doesn’t Think He’s Gonna Live Much Longer & Will No Longer Promote His Music
Things aren’t going well for 50 Cent and his label these days.
In recent posts on his Twitter account, 50 Cent lashed out at his label Interscope Records, stating that he’s lost faith in his music. 50 cent says:
I have lost all the faith in the team I’m on. I having nothing left to say I will not be promoting my music. I’m going to deliver this album then I have a film I wrote to focus on. I’m not upset, I’m just convinced this is not how I want to remembered. Ill be honest I don’t think I’m gonna live much longer. That’s why I started my street king movement. I want to mean more in other peoples lives.
I mixed the big 10 because everything I do has to be the best I can make it cause other artist will create after hearing the ideas. This morning I was look out the window. I saw a bird fly right on to ledge. It felt like he was looking right at me. I hit the window he just looked at me like he new I couldn’t do anything threw the glass. I was tripping he sat there a minute then flew off. I’d like to be a bird so I could fly and shit on the world. Then you all could say 50 shit on me. That’s luck right ? Then don’t wipe the shit off.
It’s odd 50 Cent would be saying something like this when he just releasedThe Big 10 mixtape less than a month ago and it’s fire.
Prodigy On Lethal 2Pac Beef, "I Wanted To Kill That N*gga" [Video]
Mobb Deep's Prodigy has opened up on his past beef with late music mogul 2Pac and said their tensions rose to lethal extremes during the East Coast/West Coast feud.According to Capital P, he believes their problems sprung after a line on their 1995 hit, "Survival of the Fittest
"He had his Thug Life sh*t going on," Prodigy said in an interview, "When we made our Infamous album, we had a song called 'Survival of the Fittest,' and on that song, in the beginning, one of my mans that just came home from jail doing a 15 years [bid], his name is Ferg. That's Havoc's cousin, actually. Ferg is on that album and in the beginning of the song, he says, 'The Thug Life, we still living it.' ... 2Pac, you know, is the one most known for saying that. I think that pissed 2Pac off a little bit. He took that as disrespect, like, 'Oh, these n*ggas trying to say Thug Life da-da-da-da-da. That's our sh*t.' He didn't really come out and say nothing about it though until Snoop [Dogg] and Dogg Pound made a song, ['New York, New York'] we did the ['LA, LA'] sh*t. So when they made that, we were looking at it like, 'What? These n*ggas are kicking over our buildings in the video, stomping through the city.' It was real disrespectful sh*t." (This Is 50)
"They knew that was disrespectful. So we went back at them n*ggas. And we made our version, 'LA, LA.' ... This is when 2Pac first signed to Death Row so I guess when he seen that, he was like, 'Aight, I'm going at these n*ggas. Hard body. He went at us.' So that's what that was about. [Any ill feelings?] Oh yeah, I wanted to kill that n*gga. Yeah, h*ll yeah. I wanted to f*ck that n*gga up, jump him, cut hm, shoot him, all that sh*t. It was beef. They were sh*tting on n*ggas and we were sh*tting on them and it was going to be a problem if we ever each other. I might have got killed, I might have got beat up, either way it was going to go down. ... Thankfully it never went down but it's bad that he had to die through all that petty beef bullsh*t. It was corny." (This Is 50)
Last month, fellow Queens, New York rap veteran Nas reflected on Pac taking issues over him using the same "Against All Odds" beat as his "Street Dreams."
"See, I was always into 'Pac early before his controversial side blew up all over America and the world. I was already into his music," Nas said in an interview. "I saw him as a kindred spirit, I saw him as a brother, so it was like beefin' with your brother. Not even beefin', it felt like, your brother over there's a little mad. This is an issue right now, so you gotta deal with it." (XXL Mag)
"N*ggas playing deadly motherf*cking war games," Pac says in the intro. "How many broke down rappers got some sh*t to say...I bust on Bad Boy, Mobb Deep and murder The Firm/When you scream 'fake thugs' who the f*ck you mean/Get more C.R.E.A.M. than all of y'all/N*gga f*ck your team/Now Dre wanna switch sides/Tricks hide in war/Last year I shed tears but I don't cry no more/Plus Jay-Z tried to play me/He won't last long/Go ask King Sun how it feel to have your a** gone...Got shot five times, got outta jail on bail and sold five million. Sold more records than all you trick motherf*ckers put together. More than The Firm, more than Bad Boy, murdered Mobb Deep, more than all you b*tch made n*ggas." ("War Gamez")
